Vichy Normaderm Micellar Solution [Review]

A cleanser that will remove your makeup, doesn't need washed off and is around €10?
Check, Check, Check!

I'm fairly new to cleansing waters - I usually wash my face with a regular face wash - but after starting my makeup course (here) I've needed to start using something that doesn't require water as the first thing we have to do every class is remove all makeup, for obvious reasons.

My First Glossybox

I finally received my first Glossybox!!
After waiting not so patiently for the postman to deliver my box full of treats it came :)

This months box (September) was the 'London Edition' to celebrate London Fashion Week and I'm really hoping all future boxes are this good!
Glossybox is a subscription service that delivers a box full of 5 sample sized beauty treats, or even a full sized product or two for £10 a month (+ P&P) - working out at around €15 total - complete bargain!

This month at least I was very lucky and got four full sized products!

Here's what I got :

Inglot South Anne St Opening

The lovely ladies over at Inglot very kindly invited me along to a VIP blogger event to celebrate the opening of their amazing new store on South Anne St (off Grafton St) in Dublin!
It was my first blogger event, and I was an 'Inglot Virigin' but both of those cherries have now been popped, and what a beautifully colourful way to pop them!

Crown Brushes [Haul & Discount Code!!]

Originally I went on to the Crown Brush website to get the C433 brush as I heard it was a complete dupe for the MAC 127 - a makeup artists favourite - but I got a bit (a lot) carried away by their amazing prices and the glowing reviews I'd heard about their brushes!
Having previously ordered from Crown with nothing but good experience I thought what the hell - let's go wild!

Unexpected Treats

For those who don't know, Glossybox is a subscription service for makeup and beauty lovers! For just £10 a month (plus P&P) "you’ll get a beautiful wrapped Glossybox sent to your doorstep with 5 surprise beauty miniatures". This is a fantastic idea and something I was dying to try out, and finally took the plunge with the September box!

So, here I was getting all annoyed that my first Glossybox (LINK) hadn't arrived yet so I send an email to their customer care team to see what the story was (no tracking info to Ireland, very annoying!)..

Nivea In Shower Body Moisturiser [Review]

The newest offering from Nivea, an in shower body moisturiser/skin conditioner.

This product definitely intrigued me from the ads on tv - it seemed to be a less messy, less sticky version of Johnson's baby oil. And it is!!

This stuff is great! Now don't confuse it with a body wash, it's purely a moisturiser so you use it after your usual washing/shaving routine.

Beauty Tip of the Week [5]

Using a Muslin Cloth to wash your face is a great light exfoliant even for sensitive skin.
Muslin Cloth's can be found in the baby section of most pharmacies and are very cheap!
Apply face wash or cleansing lotion as normal and rub off with a warm, wet muslin cloth in circular motions, this will help both remove makeup and any dead skin.

Big Bouncy Hair : How To

A very easy tutorial on how I get big bouncy hair :)

I find this best and easiest to do on second day, already straightened hair.
The reason I say already straightened is because my hair is naturally very curly & wavy and left to its own devices its untameable, but if your lucky enough to have naturally straight or easy to work with hair this may be done straight after a wash :)

Beauty Tip of the Week [4]

On the Waterline, use a skin coloured eyeliner pencil instead of a white one, to help open up the eyes without being too harsh.

My favourite is Rimmel's Scandal Eyes in 005 - Nude. At only €5.49 its a bargain, and the pigmentation and smoothness rivals those at three times the price :)

Brows : How To

Thanks to models like Cara Delevingne there is more focus then ever on eyebrows, and the bigger the better! Unfortunately after years of over plucking my brows leave allot to be desired, and I'm sure I'm not alone, so here's a step by step to how I fill in my brows :)

Beauty Tip of the Week [3]

When applying mascara, apply to your bottom lashes first. This will help cut out mascara smudges under your eyebrows as you have to open your eyes wide to coat bottom lashes!

LA College Module 2 Student Kit

Last week I started the Module 2 High Fasion & Bridal course in LA College of Creative Arts and along with it got an amazing makeup and tool kit! I was like a kid at Christmas opening it! The best thing about this kit is that it holds a range of different brands, as LA are non brand affiliated (despite having their own makeup range).

So, here's what I got! :

Sally Hansen Polish Update [1 Week Later]

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure [Review]

I stumbled across this beautiful polish set in TK MAXX for €9.99 which is a complete bargain seeing as they are usually €6-8!

Beauty Tip Of The Week [2]

Ran out of dry shampoo? Use baby powder!

Whether your trying to save your hair by not washing and therefore drying and styling it as much, your fringe gets greasy before the rest of your hair or maybe you would just prefer an extra hour in bed, dry shampoo is a god send! But if you run out don't worry, the soft white baby powder hiding away in your bathroom will sort you right out!

Simply apply to hands, pat together, gently rub into hairline/through hair and then brush through.

Be very careful not to use too much and this is best done before going to bed the night before, as too much can grey and dull hair so even if it turns out a little grey, rolling around on your pillow and letting it set in overnight should do the trick :)
