Real Techniques Brushes [Review]

I recently bought these brushes in boots when they were on offer (buy 1 get 1 half price) and I haven't used anything else since! I bought both the limited edition Duo Fibre set and the Core Collection set.

My favourite of the two would have to be the Core Collection, but I've been using both daily!

Core collection:

Everyday Essential Makeup Products

Thought I'd do a quick post on the makeup products I use every day. Usually I'm running to work or college or somewhere and don't have time to do my full face of slap, so a few essential products are always on hand to help me do a quick natural makeup look.

Colour Correctors

Red cheeks. Red nose. Pale skin.. Not the best combination!
Unfortunately instead of lovely porcelain pale skin, allot of us Irish can be more accurately described as pale pasty and red. Thank god for makeup!

Colour correctors are great, they work by using a colours opposite colour to neutralise the unwanted skin tones. In this case a green colour corrector cancels out redness.

I've tried allot of green based products; moisturisers, primers, overnight creams but to be honest none of them really worked. I decided to give a colour corrector a go (from crown brushes palette, linked below), to try and cover up my rosy red cheeks without caking on foundation or concealers.

Taking the Plunge!

So, I've finally decided to take the plunge and start a beauty/makeup blog! It's something I've been meaning to do for quite a while but kept putting off for various reasons (ie no real reason whatsoever!)

Ill be posting about all things makeup and beauty, with a bit of fashion thrown in from time to time! Basically just sharing things I like, tips I've heard/use and products I love :)
